Do you feel a deep, persistent longing to express yourself more fully in the world?
Do you sense a relentless, gnawing knowing that you are meant to be more, to show up in a more intentional, more authentic, more courageous way?
Do you feel a nagging ache to do your best, to give everything you’ve got in this life?
Maslow called it the drive for self-actualization.
Others say that’s your true self, your dharma, your destiny tugging at your soul.
I say:
That’s your boldness calling you.
It’s calling you to connect to it, to live connected to it, to live boldly.
Whether it’s dormant or active, I believe we all have this calling inside of us.
And at some point in our lives, we can no longer ignore it. Our boldness is insistent. It demands that we answer it.
Hi, I’m Monica.
I’m on a mission to make the world a bolder place.
Throughout my life I felt boldness calling me in varying degrees.
One day, I decided to truly commit to it. I vowed to go all in, to live boldly for an entire year, and see what happened.
I started a Meetup group aptly named, ‘A Year of Living Boldly.’
I still remember that first meeting. It was a pleasant Saturday in November, in a large, sunlit meeting room at the public library. I sat in a wide circle of people from all walks of life, who each went around and spoke about what living boldly meant to them, and why it mattered.
As I listened, I remember feeling enraptured, humbled, and a bit overwhelmed at the sheer number of people who showed up, who felt the call to live boldly just as I did.
Little did I know that answering that call would be one of the most impactful decisions I ever made.
That it would not only change my life and the lives of others in innumerable and profound ways, it would also become the very heart of my vocation.
Now, after having said yes to my boldness and pursuing this circuitous path for almost a decade, it is my honor and passion to help others live connected to their own boldness.
Imagine if there were a process, a recipe for connecting to your boldness.
That’s exactly what I’ve spent the last ten years developing, testing, and teaching.
As a lifelong self-help enthusiast who double-majored in psychology, I examined all my knowledge through the lens of boldness to discern the key ingredients.
Three major themes emerged, which I now call the three essential meta-skills of living boldly. Growth mindset, self-trust, and self-empowerment. Together, those three abilities form the most potent, reliable recipe for boldness I know.
They’re infused into everything I do, both as a coach and as a human who still strives to live boldly every day.
